Green Chutney Recipe
Green chutney, also known as coriander chutney or hari chutney, is a refreshing accompaniment that goes well with appetizers/starters, chaats, samosas, sandwiches and tikkis.
This chutney recipe is slightly different from the usual green chutney recipes. Lemon juice and jaggery enhance the flavour of chutney. Both these ingredients give a sweet and sour taste to it. We have added ice cube instead of water. Chutney tends to lose its colour because of the heat that is generated while grinding. So, ice cube does the trick here. It nullifies the heat while grinding and thus prevents discoloration. Addition of sev bhujia or plain sev gives a texture to the chutney.
