
Learn How to Grease a Cake Tin – 2 Ways | Video + Step-wise Tutorial
Greasing a cake tin is an important step in baking to ensure that baked cake does not stick to the bottom of the tin. If this process is done perfectly, then you may be rest assured that your cake will come out well and will not get spoilt because of sticking.
There are 2 ways in which you can grease a cake tin:
(1) Apply oil/butter and then line it with parchment paper/baking sheet and re-apply butter over it.
(2) Grease a tin with oil/butter and dust it with flour.

Steps on how to grease a cake tin
METHOD – 1
Apply butter on the cake tin.
Cut the parchment paper to match the size of the tin. Line the cake tin with parchment paper/baking sheet.
Again apply a coating of butter on it.
Apply butter on the cake tin.
Tap and make sure that the tin is evenly coated with flour.

Instructions
METHOD - 1
- Apply butter on the cake tin.
- Cut the parchment paper to match the size of the tin. Line the cake tin with parchment paper/baking sheet.
- Again apply a coating of butter on it.
- Greased cake tin is ready.
METHOD – 2
- Apply butter on the cake tin.
- Dust it with flour.
- Tap and make sure that the tin is evenly coated with flour.
- Remove excess flour.
- Greased cake tin is ready.
