A delicious and refreshing spinach and tomato salad recipe, that can be made quickly and easily. This salad has very basic ingredients that are easily available in your kitchen.
It has got sweet and sour flavours. Tanginess of tomatoes when combined with the crunchiness of spinach and flavours of some basic spices makes this salad a must try.
You can serve this salad as a side dish/accompaniment with your daily meals, be it with parathas, rice varieties like vegetable pulao or with your Sunday brunch menu.
Spinach and Tomato Salad Recipe

Ingredients (1 cup = 240 ml)
- 1 cup chopped spinach/palak
- 2 to matoes
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon chaat masala powder
- salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine water and pinch of salt. Soak spinach leaves/palak in it for 5 minutes. Chop the spinach leaves. Keep refrigerated.
- Cut the tomatoes in medium sized cubes.
- In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, lime juice, salt, sugar and chaat masala powder. Mix everything well with the help of a wooden spoon. Keep refrigerated.
- At the time of serving, add chopped spinach to the salad, toss well and serve.
Notes
•You can adjust the seasoning as per your taste.
•You can also add walnuts or roasted peanuts to give your salad a crunchy bite.
