Masala Chaas or spiced buttermilk is a great appetizer and it’s very refreshing. Plain or salted chaas is something we consume with our daily meals. It is also served with gujarati thali meals in traditional restaurants and in many other restaurants.

Chaas or buttermilk has many variants. You can have plain chaas, sweet chaas, salted chaas or sometimes you can also add roasted jeera powder to it. But this mildly spiced buttermilk is a break from the routine. You can vary the quantity of chillies and other spices as per your taste.

It tastes best when served chilled.
