
Today we are sharing a simple and quick trick with which you can easily remove peanut skin. This trick is the simplest way to remove the skin from peanuts and it is helpful when you have a lot of them.

Stepwise Instructions on How to easily remove peanut skin
Heat a thick-bottomed pan on a medium flame and add raw peanuts. Roast till peanuts turn crunchy. This may take 10-12 minutes. Keep stirring so peanuts do not burn and get evenly roasted. You can reduce the flame to low in-between.
The roasting time of the peanuts will depend on the quantity that you are roasting. Here we have taken 1 cup of raw peanuts and it took us almost 10-12 minutes to roast them. If your quantity is more then it may take a few minutes more.
When the peanuts will be roasted well, you will notice brown/black spots on them, and they will have cracks.

Take the roasted peanuts in a bowl and let them cool.
When the peanuts come at room temperature, rub the peanuts between your palms to peel off their skin.

Shake the plate so that the skin and peanuts get separated. Skin will be collected on one side of the plate. Keep removing the skin in a separate place and repeat the process till you notice that all the peanut’s skin has been removed.
Use the peanuts as required.


Tips & Tricks
- If possible, use a thick-bottomed pan to roast the peanuts.
- In case you have roasted peanuts ready, then also roast them for a few minutes and then let them cool. Then follow the process.
- Keep stirring while roasting, so peanuts do not burn and get evenly roasted. You can adjust the flame between medium and low.
- If while removing the skins, you feel that the skin is not coming off easily, then roast again for a few more minutes. Let them cool and then proceed with the process.
- Store the peanuts in an air-tight container. If the weather is humid, then better to store them in the refrigerator.
