Pizza paratha is a fusion recipe that gives a twist to the usual stuffed parathas. You must have heard parathas with all sorts of stuffings (fillings). But this paratha has all the flavours of a pizza.

We have already shared the recipe of Pizza Sauce. Preparing this paratha is pretty easy if you have pizza sauce ready. Pizza sauce can be easily stored in freezer section of refrigerator for about a week to 10 days.

Ingredients (1 cup = 240 ml)

US Customary - Metric

For the dough

  • ½ cup whole wheat flour/gehun ka atta
  • ½ teaspoon oil + ¼ teaspoon more for kneading
  • salt to taste
  • water for kneading dough

For the stuffing

  • ½ cup mixed chopped vegetables boiled corn & broccoli, onions, capsicum
  • 2 processed cheese cubes grated
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper powder
  • salt to taste

Other Ingredients

  • 2-3 teaspoon pizza sauce or as required
  • Oil for cooking parathas

Instructions

For the dough

  • In a wide bowl, add wheat flour, salt, oil, needed water and prepare a soft and smooth dough. Cover and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes. Dough should not be too hard.

For the Stuffing

  • Take mixed vegetables in a bowl. We have used corn and broccoli (both boiled), onions, capsicum.
  • To it add grated cheese. We have used 2 amul cheese cubes, oregano, pepper powder and salt. Mix well. Stuffing is ready.

Preparing Parathas

  • Divide the dough into equal parts and make balls out of it. This will make 2 parathas. For each paratha, we need 2 balls. So you need to roll 4 rotis/rounds.
  • Dust a little flour and roll out the dough into a big circle. Roll 2nd round in the same manner.
  • Spread pizza sauce on 1st round and place stuffing and spread. Cover with 2nd roti/round shape and press lightly. Seal the edges with a fork.
  • You can also prepare this paratha in half moon shape. For more details you can watch our video recipe above.
  • Heat a tawa/non stick pan and place the paratha.
  • Once it is slightly cooked, flip it and apply oil. Again flip and gently press.
  • Apply oil on the side facing up and flip. Press gently.
  • Cook till golden brown spots appears on both sides.
  • Repeat the same steps to make more parathas.
  • Serve hot with curd or chutney or pickles.
