How to prepare homemade granola in convection/oven?

Mix all the ingredients except dried fruits and brown sugar and bake at 120-130 degrees for 15-20 minutes, stirring in between. After 15-20 minutes, add dried fruits, mix and again bake for 5 minutes.

Once done, add brown sugar, mix and let it come to room temperature.

How do you keep homemade granola crispy?

Let the granola mix come to room temperature. Once cooled, store homemade granola mix in an air-tight container. If you feel that after some time, granola is not crispy, then again roast on a medium flame in a pan. Alternatively, you can also spread it on a baking tray and bake at 120-130 degrees for 15-20 minutes, stirring in between. This will make your granola crispy and fresh.

Storage & Shelf life

Once cooled, store homemade granola mix in an air-tight container. This will stay fresh for 1 month at room temperature. After that, you can shift the container to refrigerator. Also, shelf life will depend on the ingredients used.

Serving Suggestions

You can enjoy this granola plain or can even add chopped fresh fruits and milk.

Serve it in an interesting way by making Yogurt Parfait.

Tips & Tricks

  • We have added brown sugar, but you can also use jaggery powder or powdered rock sugar (mishri).
