Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
Sift wheat flour, maida, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a bowl. Keep it aside.
In a wide bowl, add chopped bananas and mash them with the help of a vegetable masher. Alternatively, you can also puree them in a mixer/blender.
To it add oil and powdered sugar. Whisk well with a beater until light and fluffy.
Now add lemon juice and vanilla essence and mix well.
Add the flour mixture gradually and gently stir until everything gets mixed well.
Add chopped walnuts and fold the mixture gently.
Pour the batter into a greased cake tin.
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 35-40 minutes. First set the time for 30 minutes. Be alert and check after 30 minutes. Then bake for a few more minutes. Baking time will vary for every Convection.
Remove from the oven insert a toothpick into the middle of the cake. If it comes out clean, cake is ready. If it doesn’t come out clean, bake for a few more minutes.
Let it cool completely. Remove on a plate.

•Baking time depends on your convection. We suggest you remain alert after 30 minutes. If the cake does not get ready after 30 minutes. Set the time for 30 minutes first. Then check and decide the time.•Either grease the tin with oil/butter and dust it with wheat flour.
