Instructions
Sift wheat flour through a very fine sieve.
To it add baking powder, baking soda, powdered sugar and curd.
Mix and add milk. Then gradually add water and knead into a stiff yet smooth dough (add about 1-2 tablespoon water).
Once kneaded, add 1 teaspoon butter and knead till butter mixes with the dough.
Cover and keep aside for 5-10 minutes. Knead again and flatten the dough ball.
Dust little flour and roll the ball into thick circle.
Cut into donut shapes with the help of donut cutter. If you don’t have donut cutter, you can use 2 round lids with sharp edges. Prepare all the donuts.
Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan. Reduce the flame to medium and immerse donuts in oil. After about a minute, donuts will float on top, then flip them. Cook till donuts are golden in colour. Drain on paper towel. Fry in batches. Prepare all donuts.
Let the donuts cool down before decorating.
Once cooled, dip in melted chocolate. Sprinkle powdered sugar over them.
Alternatively, you can dip them in melted butter and then dip in brown sugar + cinnamon powder mixture.
