Ingredients (1 cup = 240 ml)
- 10-12 strawberries chopped
- 1 ripe mango peeled and cut into cubes
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 broken dry red chili deseeded
- ¼ teaspoon cumin seeds/jeera
- 1 green chilli cut into 2 pieces or finely chopped
- small piece of ginger grated
- ¼ teaspoon coriander powder/dhania powder
- ¼ teaspoon jeera/cumin powder
- ¼ teaspoon chat masala
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a small non-stick pan on a medium flame. Add dry red chilli and jeera.
- Once it splutters, add green chilli and then immediately add chopped mangoes and strawberries. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add grated ginger and salt. Give a quick stir.
- Then add all the spice powders - dhania powder, jeera powder, chat masala and sugar. Mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes. By now, chutney would have released its moisture and fruits must have cooked completely.
- Remove from flame and let it cool down completely.
- Serve this tangy fruity chutney with parathas or as a dip with crackers, nacho chips or puris.
