Chocolate Peda | Instant Chocolate Milk Peda Recipe

With just 4 ingredients and 10 minutes, you can make this delectable sweet. Yes, you heard it right, these pedas are very much easy-to-make and plus gets ready quickly. The only thing to be kept in mind while making pedas, is not to overcook them, otherwise pedas will be chewy. We are sharing a few tips that you should keep in mind while making pedas.

Some points to keep in mind while making pedas:

  • Cook the mixture on low flame.
  • Do not overcook the mixture. Just when you see that the mixture has started leaving the sides of the pan and has begun to thicken, switch off the flame.
  • The pedas will be sticky on the day you prepare them, especially for the first 3-4 hours. They will taste best and achieve the required texture the next day.
  • Peda stays good at room temperature for 2-3 days. But if the whether is humid, we suggest to shift them to refrigerator on the end of Day 2. You can store them in refrigerator for 4-5 days. Just before serving, keep the pedas at room temperature for about 30 minutes and then serve.

Chocolate Peda | Instant Chocolate Milk Peda Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Yield: 8-9 medium size OR 10-12 small size pedas

Chocolate Peda | Instant Chocolate Milk Peda Recipe

Ingredients (1 Cup = 200 ml)

  • 3/4 cup milk powder
  • 1.5 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1.5 teaspoon ghee + ghee for greasing hands before shaping pedas
  • mixed chopped nuts, for the garnish

Lets Begin...

  1. Heat a non-stick pan on a low flame. Add 1 teaspoon ghee, condensed milk, milk powder and cocoa powder.
  2. Keep stirring the mixture and cook till the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  3. Switch off the flame and add ½ teaspoon ghee and mix.
  4. Let the mixture cool for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Grease your hands with ghee and make small round balls.
  6. Make small hole in the centre using your thumb and fill it with chopped mixed chopped nuts.
  7. Enjoyyy these yummy pedas.
