Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Serving Size: 2
10-12 strawberries, chopped
1 ripe mango, peeled and cut into cubes
1 teaspoon oil
1 broken dry red chili, deseeded
¼ teaspoon cumin seeds/jeera
1 green chilli, cut into 2 pieces or finely chopped
small piece of ginger , grated
¼ teaspoon coriander powder/dhania powder
¼ teaspoon jeera/cumin powder
¼ teaspoon chat masala
½ teaspoon sugar
salt to taste
Heat oil in a small non-stick pan on a medium flame. Add dry red chilli and jeera.
Once it splutters, add green chilli and then immediately add chopped mangoes and strawberries. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Now add grated ginger and salt. Give a quick stir.
Then add all the spice powders - dhania powder, jeera powder, chat masala and sugar. Mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes. By now, chutney would have released its moisture and fruits must have cooked completely.
Remove from flame and let it cool down completely.
Serve this tangy fruity chutney with parathas or as a dip with crackers, nacho chips or puris.
