Strawberry and Mango Chutney | Sweet & Spicy Strawberry and Mango Chutney Recipe

A tangy and sweet chutney or dip prepared from mangoes and strawberries. This chutney gets ready in no time and is a break from the routine side dishes. Natural sweetness of fruits is combined with basic spices and flavoured with jeera, green chillies and ginger.  

You can adjust the spices and sugar level as per your taste.

Strawberry and Mango Chutney | Sweet & Spicy Strawberry and Mango Chutney Recipe

  • 10-12 strawberries, chopped
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 broken dry red chili, deseeded
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin seeds/jeera
  • 1 green chilli, cut into 2 pieces or finely chopped
  • small piece of ginger , grated
  • ¼ teaspoon coriander powder/dhania powder
  • ¼ teaspoon jeera/cumin powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chat masala
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • salt to taste

Lets Begin...

  1. Heat oil in a small non-stick pan on a medium flame. Add dry red chilli and jeera.
  2. Once it splutters, add green chilli and then immediately add chopped mangoes and strawberries. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Now add grated ginger and salt. Give a quick stir.
  4. Then add all the spice powders - dhania powder, jeera powder, chat masala and sugar. Mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes. By now, chutney would have released its moisture and fruits must have cooked completely.
  5. Remove from flame and let it cool down completely.
  6. Serve this tangy fruity chutney with parathas or as a dip with crackers, nacho chips or puris.


Adjust spices and sugar as per taste.
